چکیده

Abstract Background The current study was carried out to investigate the effects of exogenous progesterone on fetal development in rats. Results Placental weights did not vary control and treated groups. Fetal were significantly reduced low- high-dose CVL both treatment groups compared group. In fetuses that received maternal with progesterone, several parts skeleton showed incomplete ossification. Alkaline phosphatase decreased bones born progesterone-treated dams. testes ovaries dams low high doses degenerative seminiferous tubules failed sex cord into primordial follicles, respectively. Conclusions administration during pregnancy adversely influences growth, skeletal construction, organ development.

Brief exposure to exogenous testosterone increases death signaling and adversely affects myocardial function after ischemia.

Chronic endogenous testosterone exposure adversely affects proinflammatory and proapoptotic signaling after ischemia/reperfusion; however, it remains unknown whether a single acute testosterone exposure is equally detrimental. We hypothesized that acute exogenous testosterone infusion before ischemia would worsen myocardial functional recovery, increase the activation of MAPKs and caspase-3, an...

Exposure to radiofrequency radiation emitted from mobile phone jammers adversely affects the quality of human sperm

Background: The health effect of rapidly increasing everyday exposure of humans to radiofrequency radiation is a major global concern. Mobile phone jammers prevent the mobile phones from receiving signals from base stations by interfering with authorized mobile carriers’ services. In spite of the fact that mobile jammer use is illegal, they are occasionally used in offices, shrines, confe...

Prenatal methylazoxymethanol exposure alters evoked responses in fetal rats.

Although there is considerable interest in identifying methods to detect central nervous system impairment early in development, few behavioral assessment tools are available for detecting CNS deficits in the fetus. In the present study, methylazoxymethanol [MAM; Midwest Research Institute, (MRI)] was used to induce deficits in CNS development in fetal rats to assess effects on coordinated feta...
